Tourism Minister calls Malaysian bloggers ‘liars’

80% of bloggers are unemployed women

Tourism Minister Tengku Adnan lashed out on Thursday that all bloggers on the Internet are liars, out of which 80% are unemployed women.

“All bloggers are liars, they cheat people using all kinds of methods. From my understanding, out of 10,000 unemployed bloggers, 8,000 are women,” he told reporters at the 2007 Malaysia GP Sales when asked about allegations made on a blog by a female TV presenter that she faced numerous problems trying to shoot at various locations in Kuala Lumpur. More on the reporter’s experience at The Star’s — Malaysia’ leading English-language newspaper — deputy group chief editor’s blog here.

What a FREAK! Where the hell did he get the 8,000 are women and unemployed. The gomen continues to issue stooopid press statements. Good! Cos they will dig their own grave. What an MCP!

Typical Breakfast for Urban KL-ite

Hanny's Nasi Lemak a.k.a. FAT RICE

Well, most young urban professionals have no time for breakfast.
Most are too busy sleeping or if you are a REAL REAL REAL REAL YUPPIE, it’s a 6am wake-up call, 1 hr morning yoga session to find your zen to make more $$$, a quick shower + super-fast make-up session to set your face for the day.

The most unhealthy yet most popular breakfast item in KUALA LUMPUR is nasi lemak.

It’s high in fat and carbohydrates BUT IT IS NOT BANNED like fast food ads may be.

Our not too bright Health Minister has proposed to ban fast food ads to promote healthier living!! BUT almost ALL POPULAR LOCAL FOOD are equally bad in terms of calories and evil elements like FAT, SALT and SUGAR.

So Chua Soi Lek (our Health Minister), PLEASE WAKE-UP and STOP your pre-general-election SANDIWARA (Malay for “shadow play”)!

WE WANT TO KNOW IF THE PRICE of HIV drugs will be affected by the Malaysia-US FTA agreement…..pls come up with a proper STUDY.

For more on Nasi Lemak. Read on.

Look out! School kids are swarming KL!

Do you know when I love Kuala Lumpur? I mean, really, really love Kuala Lumpur?

Any day that does not include school holidays.

Whenever it is holidays, the city is so packed with school kids with their funky dressing and oh-so-hip hairstyle. It just ruins the fun for those that do not go to school in uniform. And next week, much to my dismay, schools are set to close for a week. Imagine, a week of them!

Even the schools and teachers are booting their students out. What do you think us the non-school-kid-in-uniform feel?

Unbearable!
