Give way to VIP? Go to hell and out of office!

Did you KLites read an article about us, common people would face penalty for not giving way to VIPs?

Well, in the New Straits Times today:

KUALA LUMPUR: Motorists who do not give way to police outriders leading a VIP convoy and those who tailgate them will be fined RM300.

I would not have mind if VIPs like the Prime Minister, during an emergency (but then, during a national emergency, he was holidaying in Venezuela. So, giving way to the PM on the road is kinda irrelevant when he should be flying on a supersonic ride), be given the right of way on the road. Or ambulance or firetruck.

But along the Sungai Besi Highway leading southward of the City, while the whole highway’s congested and frustrated during peak hour when everybody’s getting to their office, almost everyday, some VIP escorted by the police would force everybody else to stop and let the VIP move smoothly. I have a prevailing feeling that that VIPs are misusing his power. Once or twice is okay. But every week?

C’mon.

If you’re late, I don’t care who you care but you have no right to make everybody else late. Line up let everybody else. Go get out of you place earlier, like some of us do.

Previously, I have always tried to make these convoys annoyed by taking my time before finally giving way to such VIP convoys. Now, I hope, all KLites exhibit civil disobedience against such unfair practice. In fact, it is the VIP convoys that are exhibiting incivility by cutting lines! We are claiming our rights instead!

Show them the middle finger for their incivility!

Besides, in the face of higher crime rate, reported or not regardless, we should be stationing the police force to fight crime, not escorting some cars with dark windscreen!

As a matter of fact, usually, ambulances and firetrucks have problem getting through traffic while these VIPs don’t. The police riders should escorts the ambulances and firetrucks, not some VIPs which don’t know how to get out of his place early to skip the rush hour!

I need to vote these irresponsible VIPs out of office. If there are civil servants, we need to fire them.

If I am running for office, this is going to be one of my issues. So, if you hate giving way to VIP while you are stuck in traffic, vote me and I will make sure these VIPs would be unemployed. For all I care, they could be probloggers off public money!

Ouch. That’s below the belt, ain’t it?
