I’m not quite a fan of big concerts and I didn’t know that Gwen Stefani is coming down to Kuala Lumpur to perform live.

I only found out about it when a group of easily offended people with self-absorbed sensibility protested the concert and threatened (wooo, I’m scared already…) to demand the local authority to intervene if the organizer — Maxis Communication — of the concert does not canceled the show.

So far, the organizer has been diplomatic by saying that Gwen Stefani will wear decent attire:

But they won’t cancel it. Hahaha. Good for Maxis.

Nevertheless:

In light of the recent to-do, Malaysia’s Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry said that officers will be on hand to enforce the country’s code of cultural ethics–a female artist must be covered from the top of her chest to her knees; no jumping, shouting, hugging or kissing onstage; no clothing depicting offensive messages or images (drugs, sex, etc.); and no throwing things at the audience. Anyway, these protesting folks always like to ruin other people’s fun by calling bans and such. My message is simple: if you don’t like it, don’t attend the show. Don’t force other to comply to your self-proclaimed superior morality. Just go away and maybe sulk at your Lorong Haji Taib where PAS HQ is. It’s not like Gwen Stefani is calling out for murder (unlike some people…)
