moocake festival

although it is not a big festival where all malaysians will celebrate together…but indeed this is a very meaning festival for the chinese…moocake festival also known as the mid-autumn festival…there is a beautiful story as well as a sad story behind this festival…if you don’t mind to be bored…do feel free to continue reading it..

It’s a month of good food!

The morning of the first Ramadan started really dark. The sky was covered with menacing dark clouds and it had threatened to rain really bad for the day. But it didn’t until after the sun peaked in the sky. It drizzled but nothing too bad. It only cleared late in the evening.

After spending some time in the cloud, I missed everything that characterizes civilization, especially the internet. Yes, I’m addicted to the internet. So sue me.

I was delighted to be on the journey down from Cameron Highlands to Kuala Lumpur, hoping to check my mail as well as a number of blogs, read up the latest articles on Wikipedia and feed my virtual pets. The drive back home however took two hours extra than it should and it was caused by two factors: expansion, or rather, the closing of lanes along the North-South Highways and fans of Perak and Kedah soccer. And I swear, I thought the chant of kejor Yeop kejor was followed by pulun Kedah pulun.

Three-day weekend. Must the best thing since four-day weekend in college during senior year, right?
